Over the past few months, Amazon has announced important information about its latest expansion in Europe: the Netherlands. Sellers currently operating in the EU received from Amazon information on how to list products on Amazon.nl.

Bol.com has always been a major e-commerce market for Dutch residents to shop online. Currently, around 84% of the population is shopping online, and the most important categories are travel and telecommunications. E-commerce provides only 10,3% domestic retail industry, which means that there is much more room for growth when consumer behavior begins to change.
How to transfer offers to Amazon.nl
Listing products on Amazon.nl is extremely easy! This process is very similar to configuring the rest of the product listings on the European market at SellerCentral.
In your SellerCentral account, you must click “Sell globally” on the “Inventory” tab. You will be able to start “Building International Listings”. Then set the price for each SKU you intend to list in the Dutch market compared to the offers in .co.uk.
Translate product descriptions, keywords and headers to help in the ranking, and the offer will be posted. We recommend using a translation company that understands local markets.
Remember that you need to link a bank account when registering with Amazon.nl – it can be the same account you have saved on other EU markets.

Currently, Amazon does not ship products from warehouses in the Netherlands. This means that when listing your products on Amazon.nl there is no automatic requirement to register VAT in the Netherlands.
You will still need to monitor cross-border sales to the Netherlands. Currently, the distance selling threshold in the Netherlands is EUR 100,000. If sales to private customers in the Dutch country exceed the threshold during the calendar year, VAT registration is required and a 21% local VAT rate should be applied to all sales to customers in the Netherlands.
